MOVEable is a structured dance improvisation score developed in 2011 in collaboration with Julia Edwards (NYC.) As indicated by it’s name, MOVEable is malleable. It can be adapted and performed by a small or large cast, with varying ranges of ability, accompanied by other arts disciplines, in any setting that is amenable to movement (either compact or expansive.)
MOVEable has been accepted into reputable dance festivals on the east coast, including the DUMBO Site-Specific Dance Festival in NYC and the SOS (Gooseroute) Festival in West Virginia in 2014.
Thus far, MOVEable scores have been performed in New York City and North Carolina by professional dance artists Alexander Lieberman, Lauren Drake, and Justin Tornow. For the 140 W. Franklin event on May 9, 2014, five professional artists currently living in the NC area will perform the score.
